"Working with the Great Escapes pool company was a very pleasant experience. We had built a pool before in San Antonio with another "name brand" pool company which turned into a nightmare of unkept promises and delays. Norm [with Great Escapes] was on top of every detail from design to delivery. We gave them our ideas of what we wanted and provided a backyard layout and Norman took it from there. "My husband and I hired Great Escapes to build our 82' (25meter) by 26' lap pool. We asked for some kind of water feature with a jumping platform, slide, 12 person spa and also to finish off our outdoor dining space. It took 5 months to complete the job as we received a lot of rain and had to deal with some difficult neighbors. Overall, Linda and Norm were great to deal with. "Provided a 30,000 gallon salt water pool, with Satin Matrix interior, color LED lighting, cool/spray decking with flagstone inlays, flagstone coping, cave made out of moss rock and gunite and accompanying slide also made out of gunite, resurfaced existing patio with flagstone, and landscaping which included various palms and landscape lighting.
The owners were there for the entire process, from concept to design, they were at my house for the excavation, they were there for rebar, they were there gunite, they were there to make sure everything was cleaned up and got our yard back to normal once construction was completed. They helped us get the pool that WE wanted and the various accessories that we desired, vs just selling us a service. The owners are friendly and treat your pool like it's theirs, they even helped us out with our chemicals for at least 6 weeks after they were done. What I like most is their long term relationship with their contractors. They don't shop around, they have a core set that they've been using for years, and they work very well together and hold each other accountable. This is as professional AND personal as it gets. That's a tough combination to beat, along with the quality and competitive pricing.
I would highly recommend them without hesitation, you won't be disappointed."

"This was our second experience with the pool building process and I can't say enough about the job that Great Escapes did for us. Having gone through the process previously, we had a fairly good idea of what we were looking for (functional requirements, likes, dislikes, etc.). To add further complication, we had a concurrent project in the works with a separate contractor to build a separate detached garage/patio. Linda did a awesome job of translating the pool requirements along with the concurrent project plans and additional recommendations into a awesome design at a lower than expected price. To be honest, I was worried about coordination between the two projects but Norm worked with us to make the process as seamless as possible. I was also pleasantly surprised with some of the additional standard details that weren't explicitly called out on the plans such as extra step in the spa. Finally, the pool operation/maintenance knowledge that we gained during commissioning and pool school along with the final documentation package provided was head and shoulders above what I received from my first pool building experience.
